1 Piece, 3 Looks: The Lace-Up Flat

One virtue that comes very handy in many situations is patience, but unfortunately it’s also one quality that I don’t seem to have. But when it comes to these Topshop lace-up flats, for the first time I feel like my impatience actually deserves a gold medal (mum, dad I hope you’re reading this). Lately the term ‘lace-up flat’ has been appearing everywhere – it’s basically become the Kim Kardashian of the shoe world and it’s probably only a matter of time before Rolling Stone also features a trend report on the lace-up ballerina flat. Since I’m only human, I reached a point where I just had to have the Kim Kardashian of shoes. The plan was to save for Aquazzura’s ‘Christy’ flat – the queen bee of the lace-ups.

But it was not meant to be. Everywhere I went and looked: sold out, sold out, sold out. So after having waited for 12 months (okay, more like two weeks), impatience won and I decided to go for these Aquazzura dupes from Topshop or my Taquazzura. Long story short: The Taquazzura turned out to be the best purchase ever. I basically live in them and secretly wish I could also sleep in them and, plus, I saved a heap of money. Another perk: they’re super versatile. Hence, I decided to dedicate this ‘1 Piece, 3 Looks‘ post to them. It must be true love.
