In the previous edition of ‘7 Days, 7 Looks‘, we raided the closet of style advisor Maya. Now the wardrobe diary series is back with Kate, media analyst at London-based film production company Phenomen Films.
Kate and I studied together at London College of Fashion before she decided that her real crush are movies, eventually ending up getting a master’s in film studies. Nevertheless, she is one stylish filmophile and I managed to convince her to share her daily looks with us. What’s more? She consumes her own weight in hummus every day, loves cheese more than anything, is a red lipstick aficionado and can’t say no to Woody Allen films.
Today I’m channeling Emmanuelle Alt in this borrowed-from-the-boy ensemble. The shirt was literally borrowed from a boy and it has this relaxed oversized fit that I love.
Blazer: Sandro; shirt: I don’t know where it’s from; jeans: Acne; boots: Prada
I’ve never been a fan of the 70s but everyone says that flared jeans look good on me, hence this perfect pair from MiH. I like to wear it with this simple Acne coat to avoid going too boho.
Coat: Acne; top: T by Alexander Wang; jeans: MiH; hat: H&M; boots: Prada
Even though I normally avoid anything that is too feminine, I secretly want to be fashion designer Ulyana Sergeenko. This is my take on her famous Russian matryoshka look (minus sky-high heels and an haute-couture dress).
Duster coat: Monki; dress: Poustovit; ring: Chloé; belt: H&M (probably); sunglasses: Illesteva; pumps: Christian Louboutin
I bought this dress during my blue phase. I like to dress it down and normally wear it with either trainers or these man-repelling shoes (men have no appreciation for flatforms whatsoever but what do they know about shoes, right?).
Dress: Maje; scarf: Maje; sunglasses: Illesteva; flatforms: Stella McCartney
I am a firm believer that a leather jacket and red lip can make anything look 100 times cooler. And if I were a rock star’s girlfriend (my career aspiration since I was 16) this would be my uniform.
Leather jacket: Burberry Brit; top: Asos; jeans: MiH; sunglasses: Illesteva; shoes: Dr. Martens
I don’t go out too often, but if I do of course I’m wearing bejeweled pajama pants (I might be a sloth at heart, but I’m a fancy sloth).
Blazer: Sandro; top: Asos; trousers: Maje; ring: H&M; earrings: Delfina Delettrez; sandals: Prada
This skirt is probably the most eye-catching item in my wardrobe. It goes well with everything and has saved me on so many occasions when I literally didn’t know what to wear.
Top: Zara; skirt: Alina German; ring: Chloé; shoes: Dr. Martens
