Big Ben

Happy weekend guys! I can’t actually believe how nice the weather has been in London recently and it’s meant to stay like that until Monday. You’re probably thinking how someone can get so excited about the weather. Well when you live in London or in England sunshine is basically extinct so when we have sunny days the entire country goes crazy. Enough of me being the weather fairy…it’s not Weather with Yas but Dress with Yas 😂.

This post combines four things I love: Big Ben (as the most beautiful London landmark), a little black dress, my new Saint Laurent velvet bag and girly ballerina flats. Big Ben takes my breath away every time I see it. So grand yet so simple. The only thing that annoys me is how windy it always is around there. You can definitely tell that my hair was having a party without me in these photos 😂. But let’s not dwell on the hair disaster and focus on the positives instead. How amazing is this LBD? It’s so much more than just a regular LBD with its 3D flowers all over, dotted mesh neckline (I love that feature) and the string closures on the sides which cinch the waist in a super flattering way. However, I decided to tie the strings at the front because I wanted the little gold hardware to be more visible and add something else (all about the details). As for the bag and ballerina shoes, I don’t need to say much: for me velvet is just one of the most amazing fabrics and you can’t go wrong with it this autumn/winter (or ever to be honest). The flats were a bargain from Zara and remind me a lot of Manolo Blahnik flats with their embellished buckle. The deep red colour is perfect for the new season as well.

As one of my lovely readers Livia pointed out this outfit (especially the dress) has some Black Swan vibes. I definitely accept that as the movie included some amazing costumes designed by the Rodarte’s Kate and Laura Mulleavy 😉.  Which trends are you looking forward to this autumn/winter?

Airy midi dresses always tend to have something nostalgic and romantic about them. They remind me of romance, the French...
