If there’s one summer style icon common to all Londoners, it has to be Daisy Duke. As soon as the thermometer hits 20°C (this could be the eighth wonder of the modern world), all our inner Daisy Duke’s awaken and before you know it we’re all sporting…well…daisy dukes. I’m no different (yes, I know peer pressure) and got my Levi denim cutoffs out as soon as the thermostat reached that magical 20°C.
When sporting such a minuscule pair of denim shorts (or as my mum likes to say, the ‘where are your trousers? look’), the least I can do is to pair them up with a nice
conservative blazer, a basic t-shirt and sneakers. It’s a combo that I wear quite often as it’s cool, yet effortless. Since it’s summer, however, I decided to match them up with as many white pieces as possible, resulting in a Daisy Duke-meets-Wimbledon look. Ok…just sort of – after a zillion bikram yoga sessions and 100,000+ hours of tennis practice. But you get the drill.
