Hello again! I’m finally back to the blogosphere after disappearing for light years aka almost two months. In all honesty though it feels like it really has been ages. My excuse was pre-wedding preparations and post-wedding blues (more about that later). I’m really glad to be back and because of my irresponsible abandonment of the blog, I want to let you guys know what I’ve been up to from July 2016 up to now. And what better way to do that than through an Instagram Recap?
In the beginning of July my husband, his siblings and I flew to the south of France to surprise their mum on her birthday. Surprise was a success and we took a beautiful boat trip from Antibes to Île Saint-Honorat where we had a very tasty lunch at La Tonnelle . I had sea bass seasoned with a delicious and fresh lemony sauce – simple but delicious. Plus the view from the restaurant is incredible or shall I say incroyable.
This was one of my favourite days during our south of France trip. We took another boat trip from Antibes to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. It was relaxing at its best really: tanning aka watching out that I didn’t turn into a tomato, stuffing myself with baguette et du fromage and swimming off the boat until my skin turned wrinkly, resembling my bed sheets after a washing cycle. La vie est belle!
It’s a fact: Plage Keller in Antibes has the best tuna sandwich in France or maybe even in the entire world. Oh yes, the beach itself is pretty nice too 😉.
One of the nicest things about Antibes and the surrounding areas are the views you get from the very top as it’s quite hilly. Whilst my husband aka wannabe Chris Froome manages to cycle up the hills pretty fast, I prefer (‘prefer’ sounds way better than ‘I only about manage’) to push this lovely pink bike up the hills. Sports is definitely not one of my strengths but my admiration skills for beautiful views is on point.
Denim dress: Topshop
23rd of July 2016: the day of my wedding. I can honestly say that it was the most beautiful day of my life. Being able to marry my partner in crime and main squeeze is something truly magical. The only downside: the day goes by way too quickly and after the wedding I suffered post-wedding blues. Why? Well…who wants the best day ever to end, right?
Wedding gown: Bo & Luca
Maid of Honour dress: Reformation (on sale!)
If you love macarons as much as I do and are in London then you basically have to visit the Vogue Café in Westfield London. Open until September 25 to celebrate British Vogue’s 100th birthday, you can now munch on pina colada, Ferrero Rocher, red velvet and strawberry & champagne macarons whilst being surrounded by the best Vogue covers. Could it get any tastier and more fashionable?
I love playing tourist in London and was amazed by Fortnum & Mason’s flowery stair. It’s so pretty that I had to go and see it twice.
Stella McCartney’s Binx loafer is one of my favourite shoes at the moment. It adds height and is comfortable and cool at the same time. Also, I made my first Storets order and loved it. Here I’m sporting their Maris choker crop top.
Beautiful, sunny and warm days are quite rare in England (yes, even in the summer) so we made the most of last Saturday when the sun finally decided to come out and say hi. My husband and I spent the afternoon strolling through Hampstead Pergola & Hill Gardens (definitely one of London’s prettiest hidden secrets), before having dinner with friends. P.S.: This blouse is the second part of my Storets order. Full outfit will be up on the blog soon.
