We have a very weird relationship with women wearing suits. It comes with a huge amount of stigma. Let’s take Miranda Hobbes from Sex and the City for instance. Everyone wanted to be Carrie (okay it sort of makes sense because who wouldn’t want to go on a Manolo shopping spree every week?), Samantha (damn you make the successful-dressed-to-the-nines-combo seem so easy) or Charlotte (working at an art gallery never looked so beautiful). What about Miranda? She seems to have gotten the short end of the stick. Instead of thousands of women going ‘I’m a Miranda’, she somehow ends up getting Buzzfeed entries titled ’15 Super Unfortunate Outfits Miranda Wore On Sex and the City’ and ’19 Times You Wanted to Slap Miranda Hobbes’.
I’m an advocate for Miranda (as well as Carrie). Her cool chic approach to life along with the ability to wear a suit like nobody’s business makes her an absolute babe (or shall I say #bae?). So, with Miranda on my mind, I decided to go on the hunt for the perfect suit and I found it (at least I’d like to think so). May I present this burgundy number from Joseph?
