I literally can’t believe it’s already August tomorrow. How does time go by so fast? With August almost here, that also means a July Monthly Favourites post. So see below for the goodies that made my July a little bit sweeter.
My monthly favourites of July wouldn’t be complete without the Gucci Princetown slippers. You’ve already seen me wearing and gushing about them here so I won’t go on too much about how amazing they are (because trust me I definitely could). To sum up: they’re comfy, incredibly versatile, super chic and this New Flora print is just beyond gorgeous.
Thanks to Juliet Dunn I’ve found a dress that couldn’t be more me. I wore this paisley print swing dress (see here) to death in July simply because it has everything I look for in a dress: girly, fun yet classic with lots of attention to detail (the hand-embroidered micro mirrors are super cute).
Another item I couldn’t live without in July were these Cloudrider sunnies. They remind me so much of the Chanel F/W 2015 studded round sunnies which were completely sold out. You can probably imagine how happy I was to find this perfect dupe without having to break the bank. Good things truly come to those who wait 😉.
99,9% of the time I tend to wear my hair straight. From time to time I like to go for natural waves. My weapon? Rahua’s Enchanted Island Salt Spray. It contains pink sea salt to add texture and hold whilst guava sugars and hibiscus extract add moisture, leave hair feeling super soft and strengthen the hair. I normally spray it to dry hair, tie my hair to a bun and leave it for 30-45 minutes whilst getting ready. When I open my hair I have perfect natural waves. P.S.: A portion of proceeds from sales of the Enchanted Island Salt Spray will support The Pink Flamingos Project, an environment effort to clean up over 20 natural habitat areas of the pink flamingos in the Galapagos Island.
I basically just need one lip liner in my life: Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk. The nude suits all skin tones and lipstick colours. It makes any lipstick stay in place all day. Plus it’s ideal to reshape and resize the lips.
My hair is quite long, thin and very straight which makes it quite flat and causes a lack of volume that I really dislike. When browsing the shops last month stumbled across Bumble and bumble’s Thickening DrySpun spray. It seriously adds volume and texture to my roots. I now have one more holy grail hair product that is 100% hair-changing.
Concealer is basically life especially when you like to go to bed late like me and then complain about a lack of sleep in the morning. Maybelline’s Eraser Eye Concealer is my life saver and lets my eyes look like I’ve slept tons instead of binging on Netflix through the night 😅.
