Real vs. Steal: Céline vs. H&M

Before Gisele, Adriana and Alessandra -aka Brazilian bombshells-, there was the late Carmen Miranda, the first ever Brazilian bombshell. Between the 1930s and 1950s she graced the stages of Broadway and cast a spell over legions of Hollywood fans with her signature looks: a fruit hat, feminine skirts and a lot of colour (I mean a lot of colour!). Just think Bjork at Coachella in 2007, but just the colour palette guys! And because that much Latin American passion can be quite addictive, Céline and H&M didn’t think twice before taking a leaf out of Carmen’s style book and designing some equally fiery skirts. We can now enjoy one (or two) caipirinhas underneath a palm tree either in Phoebe Philo‘s flowy version or H&M‘s quite blatantly sexy approach. I’m sure Carmen would have liked both, but which one would you like to be rocking this spring/summer?
