Nope, unfortunately I’m not the face that launched a thousand prints (TFTLATP). A few weeks ago I had a deep monologue about the face that launched a thousand ships, aka Helen of Troy (who also happens to be the face that got me obsessed with Grecian headbands). But today we focus on a real-life TFTLATP who managed to insert a thousand more heart emojis into Valentino’s already romantic aesthetic: Celia Birtwell.
Birtwell’s prints transport you to Juliet Capulet’s enchanting garden before Romeo’s even had the chance to whisper “I love you”. Romance is written all over her designs. In fact, just decorate your room with her wallpaper and you won’t need a boyfriend anymore. It’s not a cheap option – but it’s a very pretty one. Anyway, with this ValentinoXCelia Birtwell scarf, I was able to give the oh so rock and roll leather skirt some love. And a little bit of love never hurt anyone, right Juliet?
